Sawyer’s character was originally intended to be an older, sleeker, suit-wearing urban con artist from Buffalo, NY.

But when Josh Holloway forgot a line during an audition and later kicked a chair and cursed out loud in frustration, the writers liked the way it made Sawyer’s character and decided to write Sawyer as a more southern, darker drifter. Jin and Sun are married and share the last name of Kwon, which becomes a major plot point in the final season. However, when Koreans get married, the wife never takes the husband’s surname. In fact, in Korea it’s not even allowed to marry with the same last name, except in rare circumstances…

The weird opening credits are by J.J. Abrams carried a laptop in black and white as an homage to The Twilight Zone. Adventure? Watch Survival?

CHECK Jaw twisting? See great writing, acting and directing? Look, despite having an above average episode count, this show has always managed to stay fresh and original. Moreover, it never deviated from the topic and never felt like it was losing its original meaning.
