The 8th installment of the long-running Mission: Impossible series. The production of parts 7 and 8 was planned as live-action. This changed after the filming of part 7 was completed, as Tom Cruise had to leave production to promote the Top Gun sequel, “Top Gun: Maverick (2022)”.
