Scenario
Two girls disappear. The police recruit Paul Chartier, who joins an undercover unit tracking a sex offender. After the operation fails, Chartier independently pursues the perpetrators, disillusioned by the legal restrictions. As in Close Up: Why Do We Need a Venice Film Festival? (2024). So we watched it in French with Dutch subtitles. I don’t understand French and my Dutch is clearly not good enough for these topics. I also don’t know much about pedophiles and the Belgian police system of the 90s. Is it a good movie? Not for me. It seemed like a movie that followed some kind of police officer who was investigating a missing children case. He seems young and has a good memory as he remembered 21 license plates after an incident with another police department. Although he is quite emotional and loses his temper a lot. All the characters seem quite incompetent to me. I won’t add it so I don’t spoil it for you.
