Julian Albans: Right now, I’m just trying to fit in
Scenario
Struggling to fit in at his new school after being expelled for his treatment of Auggie Pullman, Julian is visited by his grandmother and is transformed by the story of her attempts to escape Nazi-occupied France during World War II.. Originally set for a release on September 16, 2022, it was pushed to October 14, 2022. Later that month, the film was quietly removed from the schedule and pushed to August 25, 2023, due to underperforming at the Fall (2021 box office and pushed again to an unspecified date due to the SAG-AFTRA strike.. Grandmère mentions that Julian was expelled from Beecher Prep as a consequence of his bullying Auggie in Wonder (2017). However, in that film, Julian was never expelled from Beecher Prep for bullying Auggie. He received a two-day suspension and upon hearing this, his parents decided to pull him out of the school at the conclusion of that school year..

It’s kind of been my motto ever since I left my old school. Julian, you didn’t leave your old school. You were expelled for being cruel to another boy. Julian Albans: Whatever. You know what I mean. If I learned anything from back then, it’s to just mind my own business.

Couldn’t be further from the truth
Follows Čudo (2017). It Can’t Be Wrongwritten by Kim Gannon, Max SteinerPerformed by Vera Lynn. I haven’t the slightest idea why imdb is featuring the worst review of the bunch as a featured review. This is not a story of the Holocaust, it’s a story of hope, kindness and courage in the darkest of times. That’s what it promises and that’s what it delivers. No there aren’t any Nazi camps portrayed, but it is an accurate depiction of what it felt and what it meant to be a Jew in those times, alienated and fearful for your life.
So go watch it without being influenced by a discouraging review
I haven’t seen the Wonder movie and can’t compare but a 7.2 rating for this movie is absurdly low. This is one of the standout movies of 2024 for me so far, one of meaning and hope and I wouldn’t mind watching it again or recommending to a friend.
