John Dutton (Kevin Costner) often seems to “forget” his Montana accent and reverts to his normal Southern California speaking voice.. I live in Darby, MT, where most of the series is filmed – just yesterday they filmed right in front of my house, in a field with some horses and cattle.
I think the show has a pretty solid story and is in the niche where Costner is at his best
One thing I noticed about the first season, considering I’m half Native American, is that it leaves you wondering who the good guys and the bad guys are, maybe both sides are good and bad. I admit it’s nice to watch them filming while I’m here, the farm is right around the corner and I drive by almost every day fishing in the Bitterroot River.
